A J Bush and Sons are one of the oldest family owned firms in the meat industry in NSW. We continue to trade as a meat wholesaler, a sausage manufacturer and as quality retail butchers, trading as “Bush’s Fresh Meats”. Our retail butcher shops are situated in many of Sydney’s largest shopping centers and in other major retail centres throughout NSW.
Our modern, eye-catching, retail butcher shops feature the latest innovative technology and offer a selection of our own superior quality Riverina Blue Beef & Veal, Crystal Spring Lamb, & Sunland Pork and poultry designed to cater for all the requirements of the discerning meat consumer.
The A J Bush Group also operates two large state of the art, meat and poultry rendering plants located in NSW and Queensland. These plants recycle the full range of meat by-products to produce high quality protein meals and tallows which are then supplied to manufacturers, exporters and primary producers for use within Australia and in overseas markets.
The late Alfred John Bush commenced trading in his first butcher shop in Newcastle in 1909-12 before coming to Sydney in 1921 and establishing the wholesale butchery business of A J Bush and Sons.
We have supplied meat to wholesale and retail customers for over 100 years. We are also leaders in the recycling of meat by-products and operate plants at sites in both NSW and Queensland.
Today the company remains a 100% Australian business, fully owned and operated by the Bush family.
